The Friends of Kelley Cofer Park group was formed in 2009 after a work day was planned and conducted by Gary and Lola Jones on Martin Luther King’s birthday in response to President Obama’s request to do something good for America. Over 30 people showed up and collected 40 bags of trash. Jane Tanner participated in that work day along with her husband and then she presented the idea of ‘’Give an Hour” to Tucker Civic Association. The Friends group grew from that day.
The Friends group would not exist without our dedicated volunteers. Their donation of time, sweat and resources has been critical to the success of our mission. We invite you to join our dynamic team of volunteers and become a part of this exciting group!
