Invasive Plant Removal Keeps Tucker Parks Healthy
Master Gardeners from across DeKalb County joined forces with Tucker Master Gardeners to remove English ivy climbing up trees in Henderson Park's Native Plant and Wildlife Walk on November 5. Gardeners braved poison ivy and snakes while wading through the undergrowth in the woods inside the paved walking trail to cut and pull down the ivy from trees. English ivy is one of many non-native, invasive plants plaguing our Tucker parks. Tucker Master Gardeners volunteer their time

Scouts Help Clean Up Henderson
We had a super group of scouts from troop 876 and 129 who joined us on September 15th to pull invasive stilt grass along the paved NPWW path at Henderson Park. The project was under a very short turn time due to the fact that this particular grass was reaching the point of dropping seeds, so any that was removed was a huge improvement to the long term health of the Park.
