Master Gardeners from across DeKalb County joined forces with Tucker Master Gardeners to remove English ivy climbing up trees in Henderson Park's Native Plant and Wildlife Walk on November 5. Â Gardeners braved poison ivy and snakes while wading through the undergrowth in the woods inside the paved walking trail to cut and pull down the ivy from trees. English ivy is one of many non-native, invasive plants plaguing our Tucker parks.Â
Tucker Master Gardeners volunteer their time and effort at three of our city's parks: Henderson Park Native Plant and Wildlife Walk, the Tucker Butterfly Garden, and the Peach Pit at Kelley Cofer Park.
